Attorney at law Iveta Viktorova has professional experience in the field of company law, mergers and acquisitions, company restructurings and commercial transactions. She has been actively involved in copyright protection projects with a focus on computer program copyright protection.
Professional experience
During her higher education, attorney at law Iveta Viktorova has done an internship at a district court as well as a traineeship at law firm where she gained experience in the field of Commercial law and Litigation. In 2019, she participated in the National Civil and Commercial Law Competition “Christian Takov”, where her team was one of the finalists. She has also participated in the National Student Competition for scientific essays on s freely chosen topic in the Field of Civil Law, Commercial Law, International Private Law, EU Law, and Civil Procedure Law (2019-2020) where she presented her essay on “Pavlov’s claim” and was awarded merits. Her work on “Pavlov’s claim” was later published in a professional legal website.
After obtaining her legal practitioner certificate, Iveta Viktorova has joined the team of Velchev & Co in 2020 as a legal advisor. In 2021, she passed the bar exam and became a member of Sofia Bar Association and an attorney-at-law associate at “Velchev & Co”.
Following her association to Velchev & Co. Law Office, attorney at law Iveta Viktorova has been actively participating in the preparation of legal due diligence reports within acquisitions and restructurings of commercial enterprises. She has drafted all required documents for initial incorporation of companies and registration of company restructurings and provided legal consultations on various assignments.
As of January 2022, attorney at law Iveta Viktorova started a PhD program in Commercial/Business Law at the Institute for the State and the Law at the Bulgarian Academy of Science. Her PhD thesis focuses on joint-stock companies with an emphasis on the clauses for tag-along, drag-along, right of first refusal, etc.
