Upcoming amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure: The State will be represented in court cases by the Minister of Justice
The Ministry of Justice announced for Public Discussion a bill which introduces amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure. The bill envisages the representation of the State in court cases to be carried out by the Minister of Justice, instead of by the Minister of Finance, as is the case under the current regulations.
The bill also introduces a right to the Minister of Justice to re-authorize "heads of state institutions and mayors of municipalities" as representatives of the State and not only regional governors, as currently provided for the Minister of Finance.
