Sofia District Court Publishes a Register of Preliminary References
The register aims to facilitate access to information concerning pending and concluded proceedings involving preliminary references and to provide greater transparency regarding the development of such proceedings.
The register contains key information on each preliminary reference, including the type and case number, the reporting judge and judicial panel, the date on which the preliminary reference was made, the CJEU case number, its current status, as well as a link to the relevant proceedings before the CJEU. A summary of the preliminary reference is also provided, allowing for a more efficient overview of the questions referred and the subject matter of the proceedings.
The publication of the register represents a useful tool for legal practitioners and other members of the legal profession, as well as for anyone with an interest in the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and its interaction with national judicial proceedings.
Access to up-to-date and systematically organised information on preliminary references facilitates the monitoring of proceedings that may be relevant to the interpretation and application of European Union law in Bulgaria.
The Sofia District Court's Register of Preliminary References is available on the court's official website: https://srs.justice.bg/bg/21104.
